What Every Executive Needs to Know about Cybersecurity
JOINT CHAPTER EVENT WITH YPO U.S CAPITAL
Despite being one of the top sources of enterprise risk, cybersecurity remains an obscure topic for many executives. We are overwhelmed with headlines about its importance – to our businesses, our government, even our election system. But what can we as corporate leaders do to lessen our risk and harden our organizations against cybercriminals? We will be joined by one of the world’s foremost experts, Evan Wolff of Crowell & Moring. Evan has led more than 100 cyber breach responses and will share with us his distilled list of clear, actionable “lessons learned” to help us protect our businesses and minimize our cybersecurity risk.

Speaker bio: Evan D. Wolff is a partner in Crowell & Moring's Washington, D.C. office where he helps lead the Privacy & Cybersecurity practice. With a national reputation for his deep technical background and understanding of complex cybersecurity legal and policy issues, Wolff represents numerous critical infrastructure companies, trade organizations and our nation’s largest defense contractors and has managed over 100 breach responses for clients in many sectors. Wolff is a thought leader serving on the Aspen Institute’s Homeland Security Group, the Sandia National Lab External Advisory Board, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce National Security Task Force, as well as a senior associate (Non-Resident), Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Program at the Center for Strategic & International Studies. He is an adjunct professor at George Mason University School of Law and a senior adviser to the ABA committee on law and national security. Prior to joining private practice, Wolff was advisor to the senior leadership at the Department of Homeland Security and a systems engineer at the MITRE Corporation
